Cattle Baron Tyger-Waterfront (CBTW) is an esteemed restaurant renowned for its exceptional culinary offerings and warm hospitality. Established with a passion for serving delectable meat cuts and providing an unforgettable dining experience, CBTW has become a cherished destination for food enthusiasts in South Africa. In 2020, as the country faced the challenges of a nationwide lockdown, CBTW displayed its adaptability by partnering with us to develop an innovative eCommerce website. This strategic move allowed CBTW to maintain close connections with its loyal customer base, ensuring they could continue indulging in the restaurant’s exquisite offerings even during uncertain times. With a focus on quality, flavour, and customer satisfaction, CBTW has consistently thrived, and their remarkable growth led them to seek a website refresh two years later to reflect their evolving success and elevate their online presence to new heights.
When CBTW approached us about updating their website, they had specific aims in mind. Firstly, they aimed to accurately portray the growth and success they had achieved since 2020. Their previous website failed to communicate the high-end restaurant experience they provided, prompting a need for an updated design that exuded sophistication and elegance. Additionally, CBTW sought to add an online booking system, encouraging more customers to reserve tables through their website. They also wanted to facilitate online venue bookings and promote their extensive winelist. Lastly, CBTW wanted to showcase the recent renovations they had undertaken at their restaurant, further enticing customers to visit.
To address CBTW’s aspirations, we embarked on a comprehensive solution that encompassed a new website design with a clean, high-end aesthetic, perfectly aligned with their brand image. Our primary focus was to create a user-friendly platform that catered to both their existing clients and potential clients. By placing the entire menu prominently on the homepage, we ensured visitors could easily explore the delectable food options offered by CBTW. Simultaneously, we implemented a seamless online booking system, enabling guests to reserve tables effortlessly and conveniently. Recognising the importance of their deli shop, we ensured its accessibility through visible navigation icons on the website, ensuring customers were aware of the opportunity to purchase their esteemed meat cuts online.
To enhance their venue bookings, we dedicated a page to showcase the different event spaces available, accompanied by captivating imagery. We also took care to update and enhance the visuals, enticingly presenting their venues to enthral potential clients. We conducted comprehensive keyword research to strategically optimised their website content to boost their Google page rankings. This helped them secure a prominent position on the first page of search results. Additionally, we conducted extensive industry research to position CBTW uniquely among its competitors, ensuring its brand stood out in the highly competitive restaurant landscape.
